IPad!


Apple has just announced the iPad. Apple has a reputation for innovation and superb marketing. Apple has had great success with the iPhone and the iPod. However Apple are usually not the first to launch a new product. MP3 players were around before the iPod and 'smart' phones were also available before the iPhone (e.g. Blackberry).

Apple's success is due to its ability to innovate with existing technology, extend it and market it effectively. A key factor in the success of the iPod has been the linkages with iTunes. Similarly, the iPhone linkage with Apple Web Apps (http://www.apple.com/iphone/apps-for-iphone/) has greatly increased the iPhone's attraction.

Q1. the gadget lover, loyal customers of apple's brand (iphone and Mac owner), good for traveller

Q2. because apple is different with any other brands and there are new applications that been believered for the entire community, especially the youth. and i think it is more secure because most of them only can be accessed by iTunes. more entertaining.

Q3. iPad is combination from iPhone, Kindle and netbooks. it saves your time because you can do telephone, browsing or even read an article in the same time by using only one device.

Q2. Because Apple got a fantastic appearance and unique softwares, even a heaps of outfit! All of their devices not only attract most of the people who under 40 years old but every generation because Apple is really easy to learn and get used to it. Moreover, they also concern about people's behavior and personalize. They combined all of the functions, so why should people buy other devices.

Q3. iPad actually is not too different with iPhone. they combine internet, MP3 player, games, photos, PDA, etc. Not only can read articles but also can download, listen to music at the same time.

Q1. The target market is definitely the people loyal to apple, but also the good readers that expend many time in public transportation.
Q2. Because all the products they launched look fancy and clean, also the good name they have built for many years and all the applications their products have. Apple devices are also easy to manage and are compatible with iTunes.
Q3. Because the iPad device is similar to an iPhone, but also has the benefits or attributes that the Kindle and the Netbook have. So that makes the iPad the perfect combination of applications and gadgets in just one device. Another important thing is that apple is well known and has a lot of loyal clients that love their products.

Q3 With the Apple iPad, comes a whole host more opportunities and possibilities for future uses of tablet devices, for instance, in hospitals, will nurses use clipboards in future. Will students still carry around a large, heavy bag of textbooks, because make do with a small screen GPS device when you can have this large-screen multipurpose device mounted on your dashboard.

Q2. What makes Apple marketing effective? - You should refer to Apple marketing strategy, not their products. Apple's marketing is effective because it targets its market segment very accurately. It communicates and promotes to a select audience (early adopters/apple fans) who in turn become enthusiastic promoters and influencers to a wider market
